Our Program Director, Dr. Laura Reed, and GEP staff members Katie Sandlin and Chinmay Rele took a road trip from The University of Alabama to Washington University in St. Louis to train with GEP’s Director of IT, Wilson Leung. Wilson trained Laura, Katie, and Chinmay on using Apollo for reconciling students’ annotated gene models and the team began developing an updated annotation protocol for the Pathways Project.
