Southeast Regional Node Meeting April 22, 2022

Twelve undergraduate students shared their recent research annotating genes as part of the Pathways Project at the third semi-annual virtual Southeast Regional Node Meeting and research symposium on April 22, 2022. The event began with an engaging talk by Dr. Rebecca Varney, Postdoc at the University of California—Santa Barbara, on how gene annotation efforts can be especially helpful when working with non-model organisms.

Midwest Regional Node Meeting – May 8, 2025

The Midwest Node hosted a virtual Student Research Symposium on Thursday, May 8, 2025 via Zoom. Nine undergraduate students presented their research on the Pathways and Parrot Projects, with six GEP faculty in attendance. This meeting provided an opportunity for students and faculty to connect through discussion of research projects and for faculty to plan for the future of the Node. Dr. Jennifer Mierisch and Dr. Sarah Justice, Midwest Node Co-Leaders, moderated the sessions.
